"Timeless in form and function."
Celebrating traditional tools through it's renewal of form and material.
Some kitchen tools are celebrated for being easy to clean because of their simple design.
However, how do you design something like a peeler, so that it also has a clean and unobtrusive image?
To accomplish the clean function, I designed a peeler out of a sheet of metal. The blade is within the body, so there are no more annoying details.
The elasticity of the Mollis metal peeler allows the blade to push against the object and slide along the form.
Also, it has ergonomic shape which makes it easier and more comfortable to hold.
This same concept was also applied to other kitchen tools, including a grater and whisk.
Both of these tools also have the challenge of being hard to clean due to their complex shapes, so I decided to apply the same changes to the design.
